As temperatures dive below 30 degrees in many parts of the country, some Italian restaurants will soon roll out toasty outdoor dining options to avoid frosted meals and frozen customers.
Just in time for December snowfall, Frasca Food & Wine is now accepting reservations for the latest outdoor dining experience that's cosy and perfectly adapted for the Boulder Valley: yurts.

Four Italian Restaurants from Austin, New York, DC, and Boulder, will host outdoor dining experiences in yurts.
Frasca Food & Wine promised a special menu of “mountain cuisine with a twist” to go with the new dining experience. A peek at their new cookbook on the cuisine of Friuli-Venezia Giulia might provide a teaser of what’s to come. Last year, the restaurant was awarded “Outstanding Service” by the James Beard foundation.
The portable round tents traditionally found in Central Asia will be available in 13 restaurants across the country, thanks to a partnership with Resy and American Express. “The Yurt Villages” will open December 3. Some will even be landscaped with trees to look more like a winter wonderland.

The yurts are already available for reservations and will be limited to single-parties.
Other Italian restaurants offering this cozy outdoor option include, Top Chef Kristen Kish’s Arlo Grey in Austin, and Chef Fabio Trabocchi’s Michelin-starred Fiola restaurant in Washington, DC, and James Beard Winner Chef Missy Robbins’ Lilia restaurant in Brooklyn, New York.
Note: the yurts are only available to American Express credit card holders.
